Supporting Disabled Colleagues in the Workplace
Thursday 20 May 2021Has the impact of Covid-19 on people with disabilities been somewhat overlooked? In order to be inclusive and have a diverse workforce it is crucial to create open communication, foster and nourish talent and remove the barriers which prevent your employees from reaching their goals.
Increased hybrid working means that it is crucial for managers and organisations to implement best practice in supporting people with disabilities to thrive, whether at home or in the office. Reasonable adjustments must be made to allow them to work in an accessible workplace which allows them to unlock their full potential without being discriminated against. It is vital managers realise not all disabilities are visible, and it is critical to have conversations about disabilities to ensure the appropriate workplace adjustments and support are in place.
