Over the next few years, we’ll see the new “Generation Alpha” take over from Gen Z as the predominant intake of students. Students in these generations have some unique perspectives, values and tendencies that often make them the most entrepreneurial, pragmatic and empathetic members of the workforce.

Despite being disparaged for their “wokeness”, our overriding experience of Gen Z is that they are highly resilient and motivated, guided by a strong sense of ethics and values and with a sharp focus on personal, academic and professional development.

Based on our observations of many students, we’ve highlighted the top five skills that they find the most engaging and useful for their careers. These are the skills that will dominate and be required in workplaces in the coming years. How do you rate yourself on each one?
