For example, some team members might not be able to motivate themselves at all. Others may just need a slight push to enable them to undertake their assignments or complete tasks. So, what can you do to get everyone moving in the right direction?
One of the best ways to encourage action is to employ the “Small Nudge Theory”. This technique can be used in any group of people and should be adopted by all managers to build a relationship with their team members.
What is the “Small nudge theory”?
“Small nudge theory” promotes positive reinforcement and indirect recommendations as techniques to affect the behaviour and decision making of groups or individuals in behavioural economics, political theory and behavioural sciences.
It seeks to explain how individuals think, make choices and act. The notion aids individuals in improving their thoughts and judgments, coping with a variety of changes and recognising and changing the impact of current decisions.
