CMI Hong Kong hosts panel session at IEEE TENCON 2022

On 2nd November 2022, CMI Hong Kong was delighted to be a sponsor of the IEEE TENCON 2022 'Tech-Biz Intelligence', and as such was invited to host a hybrid panel session entitled 'Technology and Business Collaboration: Leadership and Management'.

The multidisciplinary session was one of the 2-part celebratory events in Hong Kong of CMI's 75th Anniversary. The milestone collaboration between CMI and IEEE Hong Kong signifies the symbiotic importance of technology-innovation, and leadership-management to embrace the new norm! IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organisation dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Hong Kong Section commemorated her 50th Anniversary in 2022, and one special feature of the Tech-Biz Intelligence Programme was the Young Professional and Pre-university Student STEM Forum.

For the CMI-led hybrid panel session there were over 250 virtual attendees from 17 countries, and there were over 50 in-person participants. The session was moderated by Dr. Alan Miller CMgr FCMI (also IEEE member). Dr. Paulina Chan CMgr CCMI (also TENCON Chair), Derek Choi MCMI, Dr. Cecilia Tsui CMgr CCMI, Clarence Cheng MCMI, Justin Leung and Janice Tai CMgr MCMI were panel speakers and attendees representing CMI.

We are encouraged to pursue cooperation and alliance with IEEE on philanthropic initiatives such as Women in Technology Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion in Professional Home, and relevant education and public visibility in 2023.
