Queen Elizabeth II

1926-2022

On behalf of the Chartered Management Institute we want to express our profound sadness at the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. We extend our sincerest condolences to His Majesty The King and The Queen Consort, and the whole of the Royal Family on her passing.

The sense of loss is enormous. Throughout her long and remarkable life, The Queen gave the country and the Commonwealth untiring service. She represented our country for more than seventy years; an ever-present in our lives and constant reminder of our values of determination, generosity and compassion.

We were deeply saddened at the loss of her husband, Prince Phillip, the CMI’s Royal Patron, just over a year ago. As we were with Prince Phillip, we are in The Queen’s debt. It was Queen Elizabeth II who signed our Royal Charter in Council two decades ago, thereby granting royal underpinning to the importance of professional management and leadership.

HRH The Countess of Wessex, our current Royal Patron, has inspired CMI and its members. We offer her and all The Queen’s family our deepest sympathies in this most trying of times. May Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace.
