The confidence boost of Chartered Manager status

Chartered Manager of the Week Zarine Azizyan CMgr MCMI shares how becoming Chartered has helped her confidence, decision-making and understanding of management theory

“The biggest challenge in my career has been navigating my role as a female leader,” says Zarine Azizyan CMgr MCMI.

Zarine started her career as an intern at Acba Bank, one of Armenia’s leading financial institutions. She progressed to become a lawyer and then head of the business processes legal service division. She now leads a team of 25 lawyers as head of the legal department.

But the journey hasn’t been without hurdles. 

Balancing work and family life has required significant dedication and sacrifices. She would work on assignments late into the night (“Sometimes until four in the morning”), then get up early to take her child to kindergarten or school before rushing to work.
