Thursday 12 July 2018How to guide by Government Equalities Office, 12 JUL 2018
How employers can develop and deliver effective returner programmes.
This guidance, co-authored by the Government Equalities office and Women Returners, provides a framework for organisations to develop effective returner programmes. It applies to organisations in all sectors and of all sizes.
The guide:
- outlines the business case for returner programmes
- explains what to consider when developing returner programmes
- provides case studies from a returner and employer’s point of view
Returner programmes are for people returning to work after a long break (typically 2 years or more).
Returners are people who have taken an extended break from paid work for caring or other reasons.
