Navigating Success: The Power of Purpose and Direction in Leadership

CMI Malaysia held it's first event of the year on 30th January, bringing together CMI members, students and management professionals for a panel session on 'Navigating Success: The Power of Purpose and Direction in Leadership.'

Major Monique Yong FCMI, Diversity & Inclusion Lead, CMI Malaysia Regional Board introduced the event, followed by the panel session featuring expert speakers - Hsu Yi Yap, Chief People & Culture, Tune Protect Group; Prof. Dr. Roselina Ahmad Saufi FCMI, Insights & Thought Leadership Lead, CMI Malaysia Regional Board; and Taranjeet Singh CMgr CCMI, Immediate Past Chair, CMI Malaysia Regional Board. Moderated by Major Dr. Prebagaran Jayaraman (R) FCMI, Chair of CMI Malaysia Regional Board, the panelists shared insights, focusing on the purpose and direction within an organisation and its impact on leadership.

Following the panel discussion there was a CMI presentation highlighting the work of CMI Malaysia and CMI, and the value and benefits of CMI for students, members and employers. We'd also like to extend our gratitude to CMI members Dr. Guna Seelan Rethinam FCMI and Annellise Chua from Sunway University for sharing the advantages of CMI for university students. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to hear from a qualified Chartered Manager - Ramachandran Sabapathy Pillay CMgr MCMI, who provided insights into the benefits of obtaining Chartered status.

The event concluded with a dynamic networking session, offering CMI Members the chance to engage in extended discussions and foster valuable connections with like-minded professionals.
