As everyone knows, when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out at the end of 2019, China took the situation seriously and locked down the whole city of Wuhan, while most other countries treated the disease like flu. Indeed, in some parts, there was an assumption that the crisis would end in about six months, as SARS had done back in 2003. Ironically, the influence of previous experience had hindered their decisions in response to the pandemic.

So, what can we learn from this, especially when it comes to formulating a more resilient business strategy?
