Applying for Chartered Status following your Apprenticeship EPA

If you have completed your EPA only with CMI or have completed your EPA with another End Point Assessment Organisation, you will have met the knowledge criteria for becoming Chartered.

To be awarded Chartered Manager status, you need to become a member of the CMI. In order to facilitate this we will need to verify your EPA completion and that you have the relevant experience required so that we can award the appropriate level of Chartership.

Please submit your details, certificate of achievement and recognition (issued by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE)) and CV using this form and we’ll be in touch to confirm your eligibility and membership fee.

In order to maintain your Chartered Manager status, you must continue your membership of the CMI on an ongoing basis, renewable annually (fees apply) and is subject to our membership terms and conditions and code of conduct.

* Must have completed a Level 5, 6 or 7 Management Apprenticeship

Levels of Chartership

Chartered Fellow (CMgr FCMI)*

10+ years management experience with at least 3 in a strategic leadership position

Chartered Member (CMgr MCMI)*

3+ years of management experience

Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr)

Is awarded if you do not have the required experience for Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow
