Ninesh D. Amirthiah MBA(India), CMA(Aus.), CITP BCS, FCMI

An Experienced IT professional, with over 20 years of experience in Management and leadership roles.    Expertise in ERP Management and Consultancy, Project Management and Online Solution platforms. Currently a Director of IT and Business Solutions (ASEAN Region) for a multinational Company.

Former Chairman of the Management club of Sri Lanka and an active member of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL). Currently a member of the EXCO of the CMI Colombo Chapter.

Chaminda De Silva CMgr MCMI

Having completed BEng in Aeronautical Engineering at Kingston University and MBA at London School of Commerce UK, Chartered Manager status was obtained in 2017 and currently reading for a Doctorate at Asia e University.

Sixteen years of sales & marketing experience in diversified fields of retail, health care, electrical and HR & management consultancy.

Joined as a Temporary Christmas Staff and progressed to Branch Manager at Earnest Jones, UK and then joined CASIO Electronics UK Co Ltd as the Head of Retail Marketing. Currently working as the General Manager at Orel Corporation, Sri Lanka and a Director at Carter Lloyd Pvt Ltd.

Visiting Marketing Lecturer at SAEGIS Campus, EDULINK International Campus and BCAS Campus. Won the accolades of ‘Sales Associate’ and ‘Branch Manager’ of the Year in Ernest Jones, UK and ‘Best Sales Manager’ at Analytical Instruments Pvt Ltd, Sri Lanka. Member of SMEDLY Toastmaster Club since October 2016.

Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri CMgr FCMI

Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri has a rare combination of being a Chartered Manager, Chartered HR Professional and a Chartered Electrical Engineer.  He is acclaimed as a conference speaker, corporate trainer, strategy consultant, author and an academic. He was the Director and Chairman of the Board of Management of Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. He is an Adjunct Professor at Price College of Business, University of Oklahoma. He was the editor of the pioneering Sri Lankan Journal of Management (SLJM). Being a Commonwealth AMDISA Doctoral Fellow Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellow, and a Commonwealth Postdoctoral Fellow, he is also an independent director of several boards.

Dr. Thesara Jayawardane CMgr FCMI

Dr. Thesara Jayawardane is the Head of the Department of Industrial Management and is also the Director of Business Research Unit of the Faculty of Business of the University of Moratuwa.

She obtained her BSc (Engineering) degree in Materials and Process Engineering from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. She obtained the PhD and MPhil in Entrepreneurship from the University of Aldersgate. She is an Attorney at Law of Sri Lanka with a LLB (Honours) from the University of London and, has a Master of Arts in Drama and Theater from the University of Kelaniya. She is a Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing-UK, a Chartered Manager and Fellow of Chartered Management Institute-UK. She is a Member of the Bar Association-SL, SL Institute of Marketing, American Marketing Association, and an Associate member of the Institute of Engineers SL and Engineering Council of Sri Lanka.

Thesara is a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka and a Founder member of Aramuna organisation SL. She  is the Treasurer of the University of Moratuwa Teachers’ Association, Senior Treasurer of Drama Society of UoM, Senior Treasurer of Faculty of Business Student Union and an Executive Committee member of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and Chartered Management Institute-SL.

Thesara is an award-winning actress who has starred in a few chosen movies and tele dramas who won the Best Actress Award at UNDA OCIC and State Tele Awards Festival. She is an Author with three novels and four famous Translations published in Sinhalese and also a Television Presenter currently hosting a morning show in ART TV.

Graeme La Brooy FCMI

Graeme La Brooy a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute has a rich diversified experience in the field of  Sales & Business Management. He started his career with Mercantile Credit Ltd who were  Principal Representative for the National Insurance Corporation. He thereafter moved to the Garment Industry for a period of 10 years with The Phoenix/Brandix Group as General Manager Sales and Marketing in the Garments Accessories sector. Thereafter he moved back into the Insurance sector with Janashakthi Insurance Plc and later had been with Asian Alliance as part of the Senior Management.

He was instrumental in setting up, growing Foresight Insurance & Reinsurance Brokers which acquired  Finlay Insurance Brokers and is currently the Deputy Chairman. Graeme is also a Associate Director of Research organization RIU.

After having represented the Sri Lanka in Cricket from 1986 to 1992, he has continued with his passion for cricket by involving himself with the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket in various positions. He has been on the International Match Referee panel of the International Cricket Council from 2010 to date. He is also the President of the Sri Lankan Cricketers Association.

Rishantha Mendis MCMI

Rishantha Mendis is Executive Director of Prudential Shipping, Helanka Vacations and Premium Trading & Logistics. Whilst overlooking and guiding the entire company on a day-to-day basis including the development, expansion, and diversification of the business, as well as its investments, he’s particularly involved in overseeing corporate marketing and promotions. Rishantha was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree, BA(Hons) Business Management and a Master’s Degree, MSc Finance and Business from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. Joining Prudential Shipping, initially as an intern, he rose quickly through four management levels before being invited to join the Board of Directors. Rishantha is a Member of The Chartered Management Institute UK (CMI-UK), and The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK (CILT-UK), The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors and The National Trust of Sri Lanka. He also sits on the executive committee of YoungShip Sri Lanka (which is part of YoungShip International) as Chairman. His international experience includes working in Singapore and Dubai for short periods at Ship Owner hub offices.

Dr. Jagath Peiris CMgr FCMI

Dr. Jagath Peiris CMgr FCMI graduated as a Mechanical/Production Engineer from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

He also have 28 years of experience as Managing Director in large manufacturing organizations in the Ceramic Industry, which have won prestigious awards in Sri Lanka such as the National Productivity Award, the National Quality Award, the Presidential Export Award, the Most Outstanding Exporter Award, and the Best Sri Lankan Brand Exporter Award.

Dr. Jagath served as the CEO of the Institution of Engineers from 2015 – 2017, Sri Lanka (IESL), which is the apex body for the Engineering profession in the country with over 20,000 members. He is also the past President of the National Chamber of Exporters, Sri Lanka (NCE) and is currently a member of the Council of Patrons of the Chamber.

Kamaya Perera FCMI

Kamaya is a Partner in the Advisory practice of KPMG Sri Lanka and heads the Management Consulting Division, Integration and Separation Advisory Services. She also heads the National Development Assistance Sector which focuses on the public sector, development agencies and the private sector who invest in the country’s social and economic growth priorities. She also leads the AAOS (Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing services) and  KPMG Executive Services (Pvt) Ltd.

She counts 18 years’ experience in carrying out advisory engagements and has headed a multitude of strategy development, process improvement engagements and implementation projects for both Government and Private sector institutions.

Her industry experience includes Infrastructure & Government, Financial services, Insurance, Agri business, Hospitality, Power, Telecommunication, Consumer Markets and Manufacturing and has worked in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Kamaya has been a speaker, panelist and moderator in multiple webinars and forums on the themes of Demand Driven Supply Chain, IoT revolution in Supply Chain, Supply Chain for a Digital World, Agri Sourcing and Impacts to the Supply Chain and Supply Chain Resilience during the face of adversity.

Kamaya is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Management Institute (UK); an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants ACMA (UK), a Certified Practicing Accountant CPA (Australia). She also holds a BSc. (Hons.) Business from the Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa CMgr CCMI

Mr. Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa is the Immediate Past President of the Sri Lanka Branch of the Chartered Management Institute of UK (CMI). He is a Chartered Companion of the Chartered Management Institute (UK), a Fellow of the Plastics and Rubber Institute and an Associate member of the Association of Business Executives UK holding an MBA in Business Management.

Kaushal is also  the Immediate Past  President of Plastics and Rubber Institute, Vice  President of the National Chamber of Exporters, Vice President of Confederation of Small and Medium Industries (COSMI), Member  of the Board of  Management of the Management Club, an Executive Committee Member of SLAMERP, an Executive Committee Member of the Institute of Environment Professionals (IEPSL) and Chairman of the Minuwangoda Industrial Association.

He is also an Executive Committee Member of the Singapore, China business council and Vice President of Pakistan business councils. Kaushal possesses a wealth of experience in the private sector, working for the tire industry, footwear industry and for the Government Sector at the Task Force for rebuilding the nation, handling the rehabilitation of livelihood of the people affected by Tsunami in 2004.

Since 2007 Kaushal is into his own business namely Kalhari Group of companies of exporting industrial waste rubber, plastics, etc. Kaushal is also into leisure boat chartering and building industry serving as the Group Managing Director of  Sail Lanka  Yachting Group.

Currently Kaushal is the  District Governor of the Lions District 306B2.

Chaya Ranaweera MCMI

Ms. Ranaweera holds a MSc in Labour Relations and Human Resources Management from the University of Colombo. She is a member of the Chartered Management Institute – UK, member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management – SL and a certified member of the Sri Lanka National Association of Counselors.

Ms. Ranaweera has over 18 years of experience in the industries of Healthcare, Hospitality, Banking and Finance, Renewable Energy and the Non-profit sector.
